If you haven’t seen SZA’s new ‘do, then you’re seriously slacking.
What with all the shocking new colors in recent weeks like Hillary Duff”s teal hair and Kim K’s blonde to black reversal, it looks like SZA’s joining in on the fun. SZA first unveiled her new hair color to the public at SXSW, following an exclusive Vogue interview. Apparently, the inspiration came from “ginger babies” and images of Lily Cole, Grace Coddington, Karen Elson and Pippi Longstocking.
SZA said that she was initially resistant to change: “I was putting too much importance on being cute and preserving [my look]. But if you can’t become the things that inspire you . . .then what’s the point?”
Not only is SZA killing the copper game, she’s also hard at work on her second album, set to drop later this year.
