Today [April 18th] Snapchat‘s parent company (SNAP) reveals their new 3D feature. Smartphone users can access this through the app – it includes a field of flowers, a sparkling rainbow, and floating phrases.

Snap says the new lenses will update daily and the existing ones will swap consistently. The company launched new lenses around 18 months ago which introduced the vomiting rainbow and puppy faces.

Also, the company decided to make their stories searchable even after the 24 hours mark because Facebook copied their overall theme. Facebook owns Instagram as well, and has added the same story feature along with copying Periscope‘s live theme.

According to statistics, 200 million users now use the Instagram story feature versus the 161 million on Snapchat.
