Will Smith is set to star in an upcoming animated series titled Spies in Disguise alongside Captain America: Civil War’s Tom Holland.
The blockbuster is based on a 2009 animated short film centered on a secret agent who puts the world on the brink of a global conflict after a pigeon gets stuck in a government-issued briefcase.
Will has a few new films on the way including Bright, a sci-fi adventure for Netflix, and he plays the Genie in a live-action version of the Disney classic film, Aladdin. He also isn’t new to animated films as he previously leant his vocals for the movie Shark Tale.
The feature-length film is a Fox Animation production, with Blue Sky Studios and Chernin Entertainment overseeing the project. Fox is really stepping up in the animated world, and aims to release at least one animated movie annually.
Spies in Disguise is slate to release in January 2019.
