Ciara has re-invented herself in 2013. Her last two albums, Fantasy Ride and Basic Instinct, didn’t nearly garner the success of her first two efforts, and between her underperforming singles and label changes, fans wondered if the one-woman hit factory would ever re-gain her status as one of this generation’s top r&B icons. Never fear, her working and personal relationship with current boyfriend Future seems to be propelling her to new heights, as they collaborated on the lead single, “Body Party”, from her upcoming self-titled 5th album. It could very well be the best single we’ve heard from Ciara in over 5 years, and the equally captivating video leads us to believe that this will be the album that places her back at the top.
