#5 – Patrick Kane
Right out of the gate the NHL season belonged to Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks went undefeated in the first 24 games of the year giving them the best start in NHL history.

The Blackhawks would go on to claim the #1 seed and a Stanley Cup during their playoff run. Kane by the way would grab his second Stanley Cup in his short career plus the Conn Smythe trophy (Playoff MVP).
