After a guns-rights lobbyist spent 20-seconds promoting the idea, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved it without objections from a single Arizonan legislator.
In the wake of the controversial verdict, Governor Jan Brewer – who signed The Grand Canyon state’s Stand Your Ground law – says she has no qualms about doing so.
In fact, she’s asserted:
“I support stand your own ground. I think it’s important. I think it’s a constitutional right.”
