Jay Ant is another producer who raps in HBK. While all of the rappers are cocky to a point, he seems to especially ooze out confidence on every track. My personal favorite song of his, “World Level Three,” has a hook that goes, “I wake up every morning yawning, and then I get this feeling that I can take over the Whole Damn World.” It just has a really cool, yet hyped, vibe to it that will have you hopping and bopping your head and chanting along. It helps that he has one of the most easily digestable flows in the group. Jay Ant seems to just feel comfortable on a lot of tracks, like he knows what needs to be said, and how it should be said.

Perhaps this can be attributed to his production talents. I first heard of him thanks to his collaborative project with Iamsu!: Stoopid. He produced an astounding 9 of the 17 tracks on the tape. While listening to his production and his own tape, it becomes clear that he knows his way away around a sample—whether distorted or not. “Best Wishes” is an incredible feat—he uses a beautiful chopped female vocal as the backbone of the beat that works incredibly well. The song has a spacey atmosphere that both he and Iamsu! just rip through. It’s probably my favorite track on the project.
