Arsenal are big winners at the deadline
Another transfer deadline day has come and gone in the world football scene. The big coup of today was Gareth Bale going to Real Madrid from Tottenham, but that was expected.
The surprise of the day came when Arsenal swooped in and signed Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil on a club record fee. Arsenal completed the transfer of £42.5m which made Ozil the highest paid player in Arsenal history.
Arsenal fans were clamoring for a big signing this summer after being relatively quiet. After an opening weekend loss to Aston Villa the club made it a necessity to appease the fans.
Now the club just has to take care of business on the field and all we be well between the North London club and their fans.
