Davey: I mean, I feel like we both are. He writes a lot of the songs and then like I come back in and say we need to add this person to this song. A lot of the songs we did, I wanted to work with singers, cause we never did that before. So I was just like let’s bring in Bosco, we bought Mariam to do the intro, it was just like little s***. So we both work the same way, like we’re in the studio every day. That’s like our room, and we just knock out s***.
And then working with Frank, it’s automatic. You can even ask him. He can bring a beat up there, its automatic what we’re going to do with it. There is never like a “oh I don’t know what to do with this”, we already know. This is what we’re going to do. This is going to be that.
Light Skin: You know, Eastside Paradise 2 coming out. Probably the end of the month.
I was promised last month
Light Skin: You know, we’re trying to do it the right way, so it’s going to take a little more time. Not too much longer, it’s been done since August. We’re just trying to get it to the right people, get the right people to hear it and listen to it, get some feedback. See if we can fix some s*** change some s***. End of the month.
Can we just talk a little bit about N.W.A. which is probably my favorite track from you three? How did that video come about that video was like really dark?
Light Skin: Actually, Cameraman Mike shot it. It was his idea.
Davey: It was his first video.
Light Skin: I think it was two days or one day?
Davey: It was a two day shoot. The way we shot that, I thought that was (that was a three day actually) it was so dope. Cause Mike found this little spot that was abandon and they literally like the dolly, they built that themselves.
Light Skin: They made everything, everything they built by themselves.
Davey: It wasn’t like a budget behind it, we just did it. We built the generator, cause the lights went out and it was super dark. It was just dope.
Light Skin: Did you see all the particles that was in that s***?
Yeah
Light Skin: That wasn’t healthy. That was real.
Curtis: Yeah all that little s***, that wasn’t an effect.
