#5. Eminem vs. George Bush

Sorry George, but you were like a guppy in a piranha tank with this one. Back in 2004, Eminem released the song entitled, “Mosh”, which was a political track encouraging voters to not vote for Bush. It was conveniently released just prior to the 2004 presidential election. Although Bush still won the election versus the democrat candidate John Kerry, the song made quite the statement. The hip-hop community is too small to determine the country’s voters, but Eminem is too well known to not get the presidents attention. In the song, Eminem explicitly opposed nearly all of Bush’s political opinions, and even labeled the president as a, “weapon of mass destruction.” The song is no doubt one of the most controversial pieces ever composed, and can be found on a numerous amount of “Top Hip-Hop Songs Ever Released” lists, due to its content and mass acclaim. Although it was rumored that Bush was quoted as saying that Eminem is, “the most dangerous threat to American youth since polio”, that was later falsified. Eminem made such a statement towards the president that at the time the Secret Service considered Eminem a threat to the president himself. Bush never replied to Eminem’s lyrics. Eminem: 1. Bush: 0.
