6. The Hobbit: There and Back Again

The final installment of Peter Jackson‘s epic The Hobbit trilogy is set for a holiday 2014 release. The series which is a prequel to Jackson’s famed Lord of The Rings trilogy has garnished a cult-like following for it’s spectacular visuals and accurate depiction of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s 1937 novel of the same name. Fans will witness the conclusion of Bilbo and his group of dwarfs’ valiant journey to reclaim Erebor and the lost treasure. Not only will this film be the last film of the trilogy, but it will be the final film adaptation of the Lord of the Rings series since the Tolkien Estate reportedly has forbidden any more films based on the novels.Â
