50 Cent: It feels great. People are going to fall in love with this show. I think the honesty involved with how they developed the actual characters between myself and Courtney. I think that they’re going to see someone’s decisions and understand them in a different way. A lot of low income situations you see these things happen repeatedly, but it’s not representative in entertainment, not frequently, so you have things that happen. I think that because of “Godfather” because of “Casino” because of films that captured Italian Americans in the past were why “The Sopranos” was such a big hit and I think “New Jack City,” “King Of New York,” a lot of those things that we had in the past are going to be the reason by “Power” is a success on the Starz network. And Chris Rock even came out tonight. So I brought you Pookie! You should love me. I went through the trouble of bringing Pookie out!

Grandmaster Flash on the turntables kept guests dancing all night and Doug E. Fresh did an impromptu performance. The Highline Ballroom was transformed into the “Truth,” which is the nightclub featured on the show. You can currently watch the series premiere here: http://www.starz.com/originals/power/
