NBA free-agent Shawn Marion has agreed to sign with the talent laden Cleveland Cavaliers.
Only able to offer the league’s veteran’s minimum contract of $1.4 million, sources indicate that Marion was intrigued with the chance to team with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
Marion was a member of the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks that defeated the Miami Heat, James’ former team in the NBA Finals. A 15-year NBA veteran, Marion averaged 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds for the Dallas Mavericks this season.
He also received interest from the Los Angeles Clippers, Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat.
