The real MVP will sit until at least December
Kevin Durant is coming off the best season of his career–highlighted by being awarded his first MVP award–and he was surely looking to capitalize off that momentum coming into opening day.
That won’t be happening, at least until Christmas.
News broke today that Durant has suffered a fracture in his foot, otherwise known as a Jones fracture, and he will miss 6-8 weeks of action. After yesterday’s practice, Durant made team officials aware of some discomfort in his foot, and after the necessary examinations were run, it was revealed that he has a Jones fracture. Team officials admitted that they were unable to come up with a timeline specific to Durant’s injury, but similar cases around the league have resulted in return times of about 6-8 weeks.
Your move, Russell Westbrook.
