Angela Davis
Angela Davis was a member of the Communist Party USA, and a Black Panther Party supporter during the Civil Rights movement; some feel her political affiliations made Ms. Davis a target of the U.S. government. In the 70’s she was charged, and later acquitted, with regard to the Marin County Courtroom Incident where a teen took control of the courtroom by force, resulting in the deaths of several individuals. Ms. Davis is a renowned author, scholar, and political activist.
