Join Us: The 2015 Source360 Unsigned Hype Competition

One of the greatest things about Hip-Hop has always been being able to watch artists grind with diligence and determination with hopes of being offered a record deal and/or an opportunity to build their career. Over the past 25 years, The Source’s Unsigned Hype column has a rich history of shining a light on that particular facet of Hip-Hop culture, and with the Unsigned Hype competition, we plan on continuing that tradition.

Before “Juicy” and “Big Poppa”, The Notorious B.I.G. was featured in the Unsigned Hype column. In March of 1998, Eminem was featured in the Unsigned Hype column. The next year, he released The Slim Shady LP, which has sold over 5 million copies. Common, Mobb Deep (before they were known as Mobb Deep), DMX, Macklemore, and many more of the culture’s biggest artists got their start in The Source’s Unsigned Hype column.

With the Unsigned Hype Competition and the SOURCE360, we plan to showcase the talents of hundreds of unsigned artists who covet a platform to get their talents to the masses.  How do you become a part of it? It’s pretty simple. For starters…

1. Create your SOURCE360 Unsigned Hype account at uh.thesource360.com
