2 Chainz hasn’t released an album since 2013’s Based on a T.R.U. Story II: Me Time, but that doesn’t at all mean that the Atlanta rep and G.O.O.D. Music affiliate hasn’t been killing it. Whether it’s 2014’s Freebase mixtape or re-make of Michael Jackson‘s “Thriller,” keeping his name in lights was never Tity Boi’s problem.
Last year, he released his Trap-A-Velli Tre mixtape, led by “Watch Out,” the minimally invasive Fki-produced banger that’s making serious waves, and has made an early entry on the charts, peaking thus far at #85 on the Billboard Hot 100. To help his campaign along, Chainz has released a hilarious, caricature-laden video for “Watch Out,” directed by the talented Motion Family. Watch him dance, dab, and hit his “Why You Lying'” dance in the clip above.
Hopefully this means a more active 2016 from Chainz, who is due to release a joint project with Lil Wayne, Holligrove, and his third, yet-to-be-titled, LP.
