Last night, the Boston Celtics won an exhilarating game against the Golden State Warriors in Golden State, ending the Warriors absurd 54-game home winning streak. Despite a hot shooting night from Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, 22 second-half points from Celtics All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas, and some clutch playmaking from Marcus Smart down the stretch helped Boston put away the Warriors, which just suffered their most significant loss of the season.

Not only did their 54-game home winning streak–which dated back to the end of last season–end, but this was their 8th loss of the season, meaning their margin for error regarding the Bulls’ 72-10 regular season record just became microscopic. The Warriors can only lose one more game for the rest of the regular season if they want to break the Bulls’ record. If they lose two more games, the best they can do is tie.

That road won’t be easy, either. Of the Warriors final six games, five of them are against Western Conference playoff teams, including two against the Spurs, and one against the Blazers, who handed the Warriors their worst loss of the season back in February.

This should be interesting.
