The once immortal Bryant, known to many as the Black Mamba, the man who never quit, even when his body begged him to, is finally hanging up his jersey after 20 seasons. 5 championships, an MVP award and an 81-point game later, #8/#24 is walking away from it all. We’ve known this for a good chunk of the season, and his 2015 announcement will make the Lakers final regular season game of the 2015-2016 season, a home match-up against the Utah Jazz, one of the most watched and coveted regular season match-ups ever. And the weight of that moment may ultimately be too much for the formerly invincible Kobe Bryant, which he revealed to ESPN.

When the time comes, you never know…might be sitting here with tears flowing out of my eyes. I doubt it, but it could happen. I don’t know. We’ll see.
