ScHoolboy Q once shared the possibility he would step away from rap, the genre he loves. Being the man who just wanted a platinum hit, number one album, and an outlet to express, we as fans hoped that day wouldn’t come true. There’s still time for Q to step away from the game, but not before he properly delivers his Blank Face LP.
Blank Face LP is a 17-track display of Q’s “gangsta” material. However, he creates balance within your listen, giving us tracks like “THat Part” and a few others.
Something gotta be easy to drive to, something gotta be easy to perform to,” Q said in an interview with Hot 97.
This album follows up his 2014 release of Oxymoron. That album stood as Q’s inaugural drop to retailers; not only available digitally and through independent distribution. It’s great to see Q zone in and get the album completed. Q is embarking on a pit-stop tour. It is not the official Blank Face LP tour, but it’s the Groovy Tony Pit Stop Tour.
