Kevin Durant and Draymond Green Booed During USA Vs. China In Staple Center

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green are looking to be the league’s most dominant backcourt. It’s something they’re already proving in global play for the U.S. team. Their time together during a little less than a two minute stretch showed off their chemistry; a chemistry that the fans of the Staple Center didn’t seem too fond of.

Both Durant and Green were booed by the sellout Staples Center crowd. Neither one of them noticed at all. Perhaps they were too involved in their 106-57 win over China on Sunday [July 24].

“I did? Huh,” Durant said in confusion. “I didn’t hear it.” Finishing with 19 points, Durant wouldn’t have much sense to listen, as he poured in the team high. There’s different ways to look at why they were booed. Perhaps because the arena was packed with Clippers’ fan base, or it could be the rivalry that’s between the Warriors and Clippers.

The next game’s crowd will react much different to Green and Durant, as they will travel to the Oracle Arena. “I’m excited to go to Oakland as a member of the Warriors. We’ll see. I don’t know what to expect. I’m just going to go up there, be my normal self and do my normal routine,” Durant said. It will be Durant’s first game in the Oracle as a Warrior.
