Outspoken Atlanta rapper OG Maco has suffered quite the physical setback this week, due to what appears to have been a severe car accident. Maco shared images of himself in the aftermath of the crash on Instagram and Twitter, stating that he’s suffered multiple skull fractures, a cracked vertebrae and heart palpitations. On Instagram, Maco also posted a picture of himself saying he lost an eye.
Though the eye doesn’t seem to be completely lost, it’s pretty clear that a procedure will have to be done to keep both of Maco’s pupils intact. On Twitter, Maco was in good spirits, and even cracked a couple jokes on himself. “On the bright side, my plastic surgeon says I can’t get any uglier so fixing my face should be easy.” He got a little more serious about the situation when he addressed people ridiculing him on social media. “Y’all bastards had all these jokes like I really didn’t lose a eye real quick. I don’t mind. Just remember I never did a thing to you. ? To see a world where the do-ers and dreamers are ridiculed more than losers and conformity is to worse than missing an eye.”
This picture he posted of himself in a bathtub, donning a Slick Rick-esque eye patch hanging with a lady friend, suggests that he’s got enough of a positive outlook to survive this ordeal.
