With residents of the Big Apple currently enjoying the last days of New York Fashion Week, the timing couldn’t be any more perfect for Jordan Brand to unveil a new iteration of the classic Air Jordan 1 High that takes on a stylish “Couture” colorway.
While the “bred” color combo isn’t a strange pairing for the Air Jordan 1 silhouette, the way it’s executed in this instance is pretty fashion-forward to say the least. The all-black upper is complimented by a stripe of red that forms a sort of 180-degree wrap around the shoe’s upper. As a result, the entire Swoosh logo and a small portion of the Wings logo present on the collar are covered in red, creating a symmetrical contrast between the two hues. The shoe sits atop an off-white midsole, which really gives the shoe a clean finish overall and brings the luxury Italian sports cars theme altogether rather nicely.
