Misha is a 21 year old influencer, model & upcoming musical artist born in New Delhi, India but raised in Auckland, New Zealand. She is an only child whose parents wanted her to grow up in a country where she was able to have freedom in all aspects of life, hence her family relocating to New Zealand. Misha says “I abused the freedom (in the best way possible)”, as she is well-renowned for being for the life of the party, especially in the Auckland clubbing scene.
Boasting a YouTube channel with over 60,000 subscribers and over 42,000 Instagram followers, this puts Misha as a very prominent creator and influencer in New Zealand, as the country only has a population of around 5 Million people.
In July 2022, Misha was signed by one of Australia’s most distinguished social media management agencies, that being Veno Management, in which she was recommended by several of her friends and numerous models in the agency.
In September 2022 she released her debut single and accompanying music video called ‘Whomst tf’. To Misha, she says “It’s always been on my bucket list to release my own song and music video, so I made sure to make this one catchy!”
Misha’s style can best be described by herself as being a “modern day Bratz doll, Barbie, Rockstar girlfriend, Iconic, and unapologetically me.”
The success of this release ‘Whomst tf’ has led to Misha receiving multiple opportunities to grow as an artist. “The biggest opportunity I received so far was opening for YG at Trust Arena. I was given this opportunity through a friend of mine in the industry who was organising the lineup, as they were searching for a local female artist to be an opening act. At the time, I only had 1 song out, and the show was in 1 month. So during that month leading up to the show, my nights solely consisted of writing bars and studio sessions.”
Her determination to succeed paid off as she was able to play a debut set of 4 tracks in which she had a complete accompanying group of her very own backup dancers headed by her friends DJ and Ezra. She describes the feeling of being stage as “Euphoria and crack. I felt so empowered, and I just knew this is where I need to be.”
Misha had only planned on releasing one track but to her “curiosity for reaching my full potential in the music industry got the best of me, therefore I plan on releasing my second Single and Music Video called ‘2 Pretty 4 Dis City’.”
Currently Misha is waiting for the final mix and master recording from her engineer for her next release, that being ‘2 pretty 4 dis city’, in which there will also be a music video. To Misha, “this single is my personal favourite, as its a huge step up from ‘Whomst tf’. This song is more of a fast paced rap consisting of word play and bars which are bound to be the next city girl anthem.”
In 2023, Misha plans to live out her rockstar era. For an artist that’s only released 1 track and now performed at 4 gigs, she sets the bar with the plans of releasing an album and performing at festivals. She also hopes to hear herself on the radio and collaborate with other artists, with the hopes of being signed with a label.
