Chance The Rapper‘s ‘Be Encouraged Tour’ kicked off in San Diego last night (April 24). During the set Chano treated fans to a performance of his version of Kanye West‘s song “Waves.”
Before The Life of Pablo dropped last year, Chance tweeted that he was fighting to get the song on the project.
“I fought everyone to keep “Waves” on the album,” he wrote. “I spent all night finishing it. The world is better because of it.” The rapper would later play a demo of his version to Zane Lowe during a Beats 1 interview last May.
