George has shown his high flying ability often during games, so much so the league has asked that he join the Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star weekend.  George is basically a shoe-in to make the All-Star Eastern Conference roster but has declined to participate in the other activities.

“I don’t want to add to it by doing extra stuff,” George said, responding to a comment that rest rarely happens during hectic All-Star weekends.

George also holds a little resentment after his last stint in the dunk contest.  After returning from the 2012 All-Star weekend, George told The Indianapolis Star: “(Not to) take nothing away from the dunk contest, (but) it was a joke. I guess whoever had the biggest celebrity involved in their dunk was going to be the winner. I guess I should have tried to reach out to some people.”

Ironically now he would be one of the biggest celebrities involved but I guess he’s already over it.
