Jim Jones Arrested in Georgia on Drug and Weapons Charges

2018 has proved to be an abysmal year for Dipset. While Juelz Santana could face prison time for gun possession by a felon, a high-speed chase ended with Jim Jones being detained on drug and weapons charges in Georgia.

According to TMZ, the Harlem native was in the backseat of a car which police attempted to pull over Thursday night in Coweta County. However, the car sped off and a police chase ensued.  The vehicle slammed into a deputy cruiser before coming to a stop.

A search of the vehicle revealed three additional occupants as well as marijuana, oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges, THC oil, 2 loaded pistols, and cash. Police say one of the pistols was stolen.

No one claimed ownership of items, although Jones said he had a prescription for the pills. He also told police he directed the driver to pull the car over but she was “incoherent.”

The group was collectively charged with possession of the stolen gun, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of narcotics including a misdemeanor for the pills being outside of their original container. Jones was released on $7000 bail.

On a more positive note, Jones just released a visual for “Epitome” where he returned to the site of his mother‘s burned down home.

Earlier this year, fellow Dipset member Juelz Santana made headlines after he arrested for possession of a firearm in an airport. Since then he has been permitted to tour with the accompaniment of his mother.
