The New Orleans Pelicans hit the lottery and landed the coveted number one pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, which means Zion Williamson is coming to the Big Easy. Could that be enough to keep Anthony Davis around? Apparently not.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports Anthony Davis still wants out and the eventual arrival of Anthony Davis will now change his mind.
The New Orleans Pelicans are now set up to be Zion Williamson’s franchise to lift, and No. 1 pick could ease potential trade of Anthony Davis. His stance on a trade has not changed, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

If you ask new Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations, David Griffin, he is still hoping to keep Davis around.
Elsewhere in the NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers landed the number four pick. As an oft-rumored destination for Davis, many point to attempt to once again trade for Davis with the number four pick.
The NBA Draft will be in June.
Big Pelican mood.
