From now to the end of 2021, Foot Locker, Inc. is partnering with Adidas to launch sneakers designed with some of the elite athletes the brand has partnered with. Each sneaker will celebrate the positive impact each star has had on others on-and-off their field of play. The first release comes with Damian Lillard.
The NMD_R1.V2 ‘Damian Lillard’ celebrates music’s power to bring people together and enact change. It is now available online and in-store at Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Footaction, and Eastbay in men’s and kid’s sizes for $150 and $120, respectively.
The new sneaker has lyrics from Logo Lillard’s own song “Blacklist”: “We just strivin’ for equality, acknowledge me.”
The sneakers are made with the comfortable and responsive Boost midsole, and the lightweight Primeknit upper the adidas NMD is known for has been updated. To improve breathability, a wider weave has been implemented from tongue to toe.
