Kodak Black’s sophomore album, Dying To Live, is finally here, marking his first post-prison effort.
The 16-track project includes features from Juice WRLD, Travis Scott, and Lil Pump. One of the most notable tracks was the ninth cut titled, “Malcolm X.X.X.,” which he addresses the issues of gun violence and racism.
The Major Nine-produced record touched on the issue by comparing human rights activist, Malcolm X, to XXXTentacion, who were both gunned down decades apart. “X was tryna buy a bike and he got gunned down / X was tryna change his life, but he got burned down / X wasn’t ridin’ with no pipe so he got gunned down / Listen, do as I say, don’t do as I do / Nine out of ten, it ain’t gon’ end up lookin’ good for you,” he raps.
Kodak Black recently spoke about his fellow late Floridian on 103.5 The Beat. Black opened up about conversations they’ve shared and about the moment he found out about his murder.
The two rappers previously linked up for “Roll In Peace” which appear on the 2017 Project Baby 2.
