When Pusha T described Kanye West on the lead single from Clipse’s 4th album, Til the Casket Drops, Pusha said “he’s showing out.” That he was, and over the DJ Khalil beat, Ye delivered one of the stronger verses of his career, claiming he was the black Eminem mixed with Jay Z, and the clever-er TJ Maxx reference (what up, Jay?), in between verses from the Thornton brothers. And, as usual, traditional Kanye West comedy, “Turn around like we folks/He don’t know I went raw dog, three strokes.”
