Luca Brasi had one of the most unfortunate deaths in film history, but Kevin Gates dedicated his excellent project after the late Mafioso, giving him new life. This New Orleans emcee brings his unorthodox flow and interestingly addictive production to the masses, creating one of the year’s most unique sounds. There are so many different aspects to love about this tape, but standing atop of all them is his versatile lyricism. He discusses a plethora of topics, but never compromises his wordplay; coupled with his flow, the results are amazing.
