DJ Jazzy Joyce, of Hot 97 in NYC, has worked with icons ranging from Sweet Tee (It’s My Beat, 1986 single) to Digable Planets. Joyce has a skill for ad-libbing on the mic and her cuts on the DJ boards, which are both hard to forget once heard. Now, cuts from DJs seems to be a lost art. Not many DJs today can do them properly and a lot of the new ones haven’t even learned how. If you notice a DJ who’’ prominent on the cuts of a Hip Hop record, show them love. DJ Jazzy Joyce was later featured on the DJ reality show, Masters of the Mix and now tours and demonstrates her talents at venues across the globe.
