The female mixtape QUEEN, DJ Lazy K (born Karina Toliver), is most likely one of the top 3 known DJs in the world, gender aside. Like most Hip Hop heads that grew up in the culture’s early era, Lazy K started out her DJing venture by making cassette mixtapes for her friends at school, eventually earing a rep and even getting requests. She was immediately inspired to follow her calling by throwing parties, studying other DJs and eventually putting out official mixtapes. She has worked with The Roots, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Ghostface Killah, Cameron/Dipset, Nelly, Lil Kim, Jadakiss, DJ Funk Master Flex and DJ Kay Slay just to name a few, and has been featured in every Hip Hop television station and magazine. She is the defining character of what a DJ truly is.
