Loser: Detroit Lions
The Lions lost out on the best defensive tackle in years when Ndamukong Suh signed with the Miami Dolphins. Honestly, they prepared for this day when they drafted fellow defensive tackle Nick Fairley, a year after Suh. Unfortunately for the Lions, Fairley signed with the Rams this offseason. GM Martin Mayhew tried to save face and acquired Haloti Ngata from the Ravens. At age 31, Ngata who is a candidate to make it into Canton, can’t replace the production of those two defensive stalwarts.
