While Young Jeezy raps about putting on for his city, Kanye follows his verses with a sing-songy auto-tuned ballad about needing at least one of Russell (Simmons’) nieces? Sounds unlikely, but Jeezy could do no wrong on The Recession and neither could Kanye. He didn’t stop there either, bragging about putting on everyone he knew from Chicago and being as high as a satellite, even the purest of hip-hop purists can’t help but appreciate “Put On” coming in at 35.
