deeply rooted

Widely known for his role in one of Houston’s most famous gangster rap groups (Geto Boys), Scarface has been a fixture in the growth of Southern Hip Hop music dated back to the late 8os. Though he was a replacement for a member who left the group, eventually Scarface bubbled to the top of the pot and overshadowed the other members, releasing solo projects. In September he released his twelfth studio album, a good body of music with an autobiographic narrative. Deeply Rooted is an independent release through Facemob Music and BMG Rights Management, debuting at #11 on the Billboard 200 chart.
