Since starting his solo career back in 1999, Q-Tip’s fans, both old and new have yearned for more material from the Abstract. After the work he’s put in last year from DJing parties around NYC, returning to the stage for a few shows with A Tribe Called Quest, and his collaborative EP with Busta Rhymes; its only right that Q Tip blesses us all with another album. Last year at South By Southwest, the rapper told Billboard, while sitting with his band-mates, that he’s scheduled his next solo album, The Last Zulu, for 2014 and is hopeful that Phife Dog, Jarobi and Ali Shaheed Muhammed will make an appearance on it. He also mentioned that he’s working with Mariah Carey, John Legend and D’Angelo.
